mask aux, kn>n

2005-07-14 by Tommy

Hello all,

question/request. In track edit its possible to mute tracks by
pressing func+edit. It's as though you get a snapshot of the main play
screen on holding these 2 keys, what i would like to know is there
also a shortcut for accessing the knobs (as they function in the play
mode). I find when i'm setting up auxs that use the knobs i need to go
back and forward from edit mode and play mode.

If there isn't any quick method could it be implemented with the
func+edit option.

Hope this clear. It's been a while since i've looked at the manual so
excuse me if i'm missing something obvious.

cheers,
Tom

Not yet...
But now that I look at it, it should be very easy to do.
TBI.

Very nice idea!
Colin, will the knob access be added to the same shortcut
then? I'd like that.

while editing a pattern....

2005-07-14 by ferrograph632

.... I use func-edit to have a quick look at the track status, & maybe
mute one or two so I can hear what I'm doing. but sometimes, when I'm
a bit nagled especially, I forget which one of the tracks holds the
pattern I'm working on. this is especially the case when two or more
tracks are driving the same channel (i.e. percussion or polyphonic
arrangements). could the track corresponding to the pattern being
edited be indicated somehow? I've tried using my ears....

also, I have a weird thing happening. (no, not good.) I have all the
notes in tracks two's pattern set up with an aux so that they will be
xposed by track one.
track one has one note (a C) in it, & is one step long.
track two only has C's in it to start with....
when the aux is off, I get C's from both tracks. when the aux is on,
track two starts playing B's instead.
when there's a proper riff in track two, the whole thing plays flat.
I'm sure I'm missing summat obvious here, but there aren't any other
auxes or accumulators active in this part. I started from scratch. I
will do so again & see if the same thing happens.
aye.

duncan.

The playlist hold access from playlist edit has the current track set to
flash, so I suppose I could do the same thing for quick mute access in
pattern edit.

I'll check it out.
