DIY notes

I just finished building my P3. Hooray! I never had an 808 or 909, so I just now discovered how easy it is to make super-funky beats when you have 16 buttons and you can just turn gates on and off. Maybe I am a lame builder but I thought the DIY pages could use two updates; My P3 case arrived with the wooden end cheeks installed. Beautiful wood, by the way. I think that the build notes should recommend removing them before assembly and then re-attaching them when everything is working. I got a tiny scratch on one end cheek while troubleshooting; not anything anyone else would notice but I see it. That would have been avoided if I would have removed the end cheeks. I could have been more careful, but the front panel sits at an awkward angle and it's hard to balance. Some of you might think this is really stupid, but I spent a few hours troubleshooting the hardware when it was actually working properly, but looked bad, because I didn't initialize the RAM. I eventually figured it out and found the power-up init sequence in the manual, but maybe the DIY pages should end with this so others don't waste any time.
