Thanks everyone for the answer to my last question.

I've got another question but I must first admit that I've not read the
entire user guides.

Is it possible to accents program on the p3 the same was as with a tr909,
ie:

hit key once = note on
hit key twice = note on + accent
hit key three times = note off

I am aware that the top row of buttons is by default set to velocity but I
could see
this being difficult because you must dial to the exact accent amount.

Actually I suppose it would just fine as is if the accent always was 127,
just
twirl the knob all the way around to set.

I guess I'm thinking of an instance where I wanted accented notes to be some

particular value other than 127. It would be slow to turn the knob for the
accented steps and find the same value each time.

Plus I'm just really used to the 909 interface - tapping down keys a second
time
for accents.

Oh well, I can't wait to get a P3!

That's not implemented on P3.

Think of it as the trade off for having a full range of 128 accent levels on
every step.

You could always assign an aux to 'set velocity'. That would let you use the
on/off setting for the aux on each step act like an 'accent' setting,
toggling between the default 127 velocity on a blank pattern and the aux
values, which could be 'sculpted' to the desired level.
