  bob- depends if you are already using v4, in which case I think the answer is to use the sys-ex route. I'm not sure if the p3 tools app works with v4....

  If you are using v3, I *think* you can take a dump of the memory, then
  upgrade it to v4 format using P3 Tools 2 - but it's a long time since I used
  it.
  P3 needs to be running v4 to make use of the extra memory with MemX, though
  there is a patched version of v3 that will work with it.

It turns out I don't need to install MS .NET Framework on a Vista PC, the tools seem to work fine.  I was able to capture the memory using the P2 Tools2 using that setup.
