Hi Sean,
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated - so take everything out then start with
just an osc and the VCA and do the initial level test?
Can you also tell me are the new RS95 oscs much better than the old 90's? i've
seen some 90's second hand but wonder if i should stump up the extra for the
newer 95's?
I get a sweaty forehead when working with anything over 12V so will stay clear
of the PSU!!!
thanks again, Dan

If all your modules are giving you trouble it sounds like it could be PSU
related. However, first of all, I suggest you unplug all the modules except
one, for example the VCA, and try that.
It is conceivable that a dodgy connection in one module may be causing
problems with others.
Make sure the module is plugged in correctly with no pins bent, and the
connector the right way up.
If this works, then add each module and test one by one (making sure you
power down before plugging each one in) and then you might isolate which
module is troublesome.
If you still get problems with the first module then it would seem that the
PSU is faulty. If so, then you probably need to send it back to Bob. A
friend's system had a PSU issue caused by a faulty bridge rectifier, but I
wouldn't mess about with the PSU unless you're VERY confident with
electronics.
Good luck
Sean
