Hi... Actually, the Ondes has a keyboard that has vibrato capability as well. The french connection does not. Also, the concert Ondes had a full sized keyboard. The French Connection does not. The ondes also had 4 different speakers, one with resonating strings, another with a gong that resonates as well. But.... You are right on the hetrodyne. So far by mixing two of the outputs from the AS VCO into the AS VCA I am able to get a pleasant sound that is not unlike the sound of the Ondes on the recordings I have. A minimal setup, but all my current budget allows. More soon. It has been a blast so far. I am not a keyboard player even... so much to learn.. but so far a theme from Mother Goose by Ravel, and a great piece for Ondes by Jacques Charpentier. Far from perfected, but I am on my way! Same controler but not the same "synthesis" (the Ondes like theremins are not synths) as you'd need a module based on the heterodyne effect. ;) --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
