vibrato can be achieved thru a lever for the left hand or with the ring (on
the Ondes I've seen)

Still it's the closer I know of so far. trouble is the mecanics in the Ondes
(the ring part) are overcomplicatedŠ Guess is ASys/Bob found it reasonable
not to reproduce everything

The Ondes have 67 keys, the FC 56, from my harpsichord experiences (54-64-67
keyboards are the common uses, 6x keys are necessary for 18th century music,
this said you can play them with difficulties on 54 keyboards), it's not
that dramatic ;) Only real piano players find less than 88 notes a personal
attempt to spoil their art ;)))
(another religious argument ;)

Guess the choice was to use most of the other controlers partsŠ Or a larger
keyboard would be much too far fetched price wise

Similarity is not identity ;)

_3_

-normal speaker
-"harp"
-"gong"

the 4th that the SIOM talks about is still under developement as far as I
know (I follow rather weakly ;)

As said on the ASys site a close aproximation is a sine, this said, I don't
know the "defaults" a sine should have to be really close to a RCA valve
theremin or an OndesŠ Have an idea?

Theory in heterodyne is that the resultant wave is sineŠ But I'm sure
there's much more into it.

I should look at a theremin outpout on an oscilloscope maybe (easier to come
by than an Onde)

Keep up the good work :D
