Hi. I just got an A-119 External Input module and I must say I got very dissapointed. Using the line level input to send signal from my mixing desks busses to the A-119, I found that it is very hard to get a consistent signal going in the A-119 that will drive it correctly (i.e. sound not cutting out, even with the threshold at the minimum value, or overdrive it too much). Also the A-119 does not do a good job at "creating" an envelope of the incoming signal. If I use say a 16th bass pattern from AbSynth going in the A-119, the A-119 does cannot "follow" the incoming signal correctly and the triggering is pretty unacceptable... It works OK with slower signals like pads and such, but there is quite a bit of noise induced (more than I would have imagined). The A-119 is brand spanking new, I just got it yesterday. Is this the case with all A-119s? Is the Analog Solutions envelope follower any better than the A-119? One more thing, I've been getting loads of e-mails from the Doepfer list, but cannot reply to them. How do you reply to the Doepfer yahoo list? Bakkis? Peace out. Nectarios.
