hello nectarios, i have 4x a119 and i don't have any problems with the envelope follower or the generated trigger. i also have no problems with noise intruding the signal path. but i have to admit, that the last purchased a119 generates envelopes which are a bit different when compared with my older ones. seems that the newer one responds a bit faster and the result is that the envelope attack- and release times are shorter, but it is just a tiny difference. maybe the integrated slew limiter rolls off at a higher frequency now. i don't know if doepfer changed something in the design. after all it was no problem for me. another thing, it is a good idea to use a compressor in front of the a119 input, i often do so. maybe your a119 is broken? you should contact doepfer directly, they will help you for sure. regarding the analogue systems envelope follower (does analogue solution have one too?), it works really well, especially because it features variable slew time. but you need an additional input module to get the a119 functionality. best wishes ingo - -- In analogue_systems@yahoogroups.com, "nectarios01" <nectariosm@h...> wrote: > Hi. > > I just got an A-119 External Input module and I must say I got very > dissapointed. > Using the line level input to send signal from my mixing desks > busses to the A-119, I found that it is very hard to get a > consistent signal going in the A-119 that will drive it correctly > (i.e. sound not cutting out, even with the threshold at the minimum > value, or overdrive it too much).
