Most sysex headers have a byte to ID the manufacturer, the device and device ID, but it is really up to the manufacture what he/she wants to put in the sysex message. If you had 2 TX81z with Midi going in one and through to the other, it would be a good idea to be able to send sysex to one and not the other. Early sysex used the Midi channel in the device byte, then came the device ID, then the common channel. It is very flexible but very confusing . I have an old TQ5 sitting about so I dragged it out and wrote a preset for it. The sysex is the same for the TX81z but the TQ5 has a few more features, like a pitch envelope and some FX stuff. It should work for your TX81z on channel 1. It's in the files section - in the the preset folder under TQ5.
