I find this is an annoying flaw in assigning controllers to Ableton Live knobs and sliders. Movements in Ableton and saved positions should output on the control channel! One of the reasons I bought the Behringer was that it has the lights which show the position of the controllers. It works with the Mackie mode but I want to set it up differently. One can use different takeover modes, but it's not a great solution as the knobs often don't react immediately. The best solution I've come up with so far is to generally work in immediate update mode and then go into takeover mode (with a saved preset on the BCR) for live work. The MIdevice plugin wrapper looks like it might solve this problem for VST devices, but it's not a solution for the volume faders. Anyone know where Ableton are at with addressing this issue?
