This worked!

So, send the preset from BC Manager to the BCR. Then change the preset on the BCR and return back to the preset you just sent and save.

For me, that extra step of changing the preset and returning doesn't flow very well. But that is crucial, and it is what it is. I must have missed this detail in the BC Manager manual. It should be in big, bold, underlined print :)

Thanks very much for this power tip. I'm working on a step sequencer preset for Kore 2 and Live 7, and this midi channel issue was impeding progress.

Argh.... I meant did you change the preset...
after you send it push the preset button then come back to the preset
you want to use.
