In aswer to both, I used this connection method by using the example of chaining two BCR's together in the manual, by pretending my usb interface was the first BCR. I'm in mode S-3. It works!
If anyone has had any luck chaining two BCR's together for MCE purely with midi cables and a separate midi interface, please give me a shout!
