Chaining while in emulation mode is something I haven't done and as I only have 1 BCF (and a BCR) I can't try it out.
Perhaps someone else in the group will be able to help you out although you seem to be trailblazing quite well 8)

In the manual (do you have the latest from the Behringer website?) there is a picture of how to connect up 2 units. Note h the mode selection. Give that a try and see how you go.
