Don't waste your time reflashing the firmware: if the BCF's display shows "1.10" during startup, the firmware is guaranteed to be 100% OK, because the BCF's bootloader performs a checksum on the firmware before starting it.

One thing that does matter: is the BCF in "B-Control" mode or in an emulation mode?

And in which operating mode (U-1..4, S-1..4) is the BCF?
