I think there are two problems with this:

1. Panic Reset doesn't work if the current preset has turned the 4 function keys (including EDIT and EXIT) into "ordinary" buttons.

2. Behringer's official manual is ridiculously vague about this, but Panic Reset doesn't actually modify the BCR's state in any way: it merely outputs a few MIDI messages...
