Re: [bc2000] BC2000 Wiki

I think that a wiki would be a great idea. of course a well organized wiki is important. I'm not sure that I would be doing much editing/administrating as I feel that many of the users here on this group are light years beyond me in bc knowledge.

            Hi all,

recently someone asked if there's a BC 2000 wiki, it got me thinking

that it would be a nice way to organise the wealth of information

that is held by people in this group. The files area and mailing list

are both good, but it can be difficult to find the information that

you need - especially for new users.

I've set up and hosted a number of wiki's in the past, of different

flavours, and I could do the same for the bc 2000 community if there

is sufficient interest. So basically this email is to gauge what

people think:

Would a wiki be something that you would like to use?

Can you see yourself editing/administeri ng a bc2000 wiki?

A wiki system that I think would be good is mediawiki, same as

wikipedia are using - here's one I'm hosting now:

http://wiki. hacklab.org. uk/

cheers,

/m
