The BCF saga

Hi all I took the replacement BCF back to the store after taking it to a friend that has been using one for ages without trouble. Strangely he had another that wasn't working for his son in law. We fixed that by updating th OS and reprogramming it. One was built 0405 and the other 0406 so they were built a few years ago. USB on both units was fine. We connected up my unit with the same cables. No good. So I took it back to the store and they couldn't get it to go on a Mac so kindly gave me unit 3. It works a treat. My original serial number N0701779246 the replacement unit serial number N0701778246 shop display - current N0604810246 Note the 246 at the end, the other 2 I tested also had 246 at the end. Perhaps it is an "export to country" number for Australia. My first 2 were made recently and are 1 number apart so probably came off the China line together. My new one was made a while ago. 0612 So the moral of the story, be friendly, patient and persistent with warranty claims. All the best Royce
