MCE mode : bcf delay/latency

MCE mode : bcf delay/latency

2009-01-07 by nedaggg

Hello. When I use my bcf2000 in mackie mode on Cubase sx 3.1 there's lot of delay/latency . If I move a fader , it returns to positions and after some tweaking of knobs and mainly press function keys the bcf almost do not respond anymore . When I use in BC mode instead everything goes fine , faders follows automation in real time .I noticed that another generic remote Preset from behringer (simple mixer )used in bc mode caused about the same delay I'm using Vista , firmware 1.10, Core duo , 1 Gb memory. Any check-list suggested to solve this problem ? It seems to be any config issue . Thank you. Denis

Are you using a virtual lcd?
How are you routing your midi from bcf?
Have you tried the other bcf preset for Live, here in the filse
section? I think it is Mago's.
I know you are not using Live, however, many, not all, of them mackie
commands are the same across daws. It might help to eliminate some
variables.

Hi kip_1999

Virtual lcd - I tried and it crashes more and more and then decided not to use , no ok

Routing - usb , do you think if I route via midi on my m-audio fast track could solve the problem ?

I tried other preset from file section (preset "bcfmce") and it worked , because its not mackie but GM so I don't get many controls like inserts neither eq . (Magos couldn't be downloaded I will try again) . Does magos provide control over eq ?

But most important I took the bcf to a friends house where I tested in MCE with cubase 4 and vista and wow it worked really nice !!! So it is something with my setup maybe asio 4all , I will try reinstall cubase and drivers again

Any comments are welcome

So your routing is bcf > to DAW software?
Mackie Control surface input

Mago's is designed for Live... Some of the commands set will need to
change.
Most of it will work.
I don't know if eq works, I don't have cube, except for a very old
version... and it is not installed.
