BCF2000 flashing OS in LCD screen

BCF2000 flashing OS in LCD screen

2009-03-14 by dallapicolla

Hello,

My unit seems to lock up when I power it on. It's OS v1.10 blinks in the LCD screen, and the unit is in-operable. If I push store/exit, I can initialize it and the unit works, and can be programmed. But if I change programs or power it off, the unit goes back to it's flashing status, and I have to start from initalize again.

Is there a battery in this thing that's causing this?

I re-installed 1.07 using update utility via mids/sys. Same problem.
I installed v1.10 and the same problem happened. Both times the sys-ex dump was successful.

Any thoughts? I'm screwed right now, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dallapicolla

Hi
What mode are you trying to operate it in?

Try pressing and holding the top left button while powering the machine on. This should put it into BC (non-emulation) mode.

Now it is in this mode, load up Mark's editor and have a look at the global settings and the presets.

OR if you are still in trouble try the panic reset - Push & hold EDIT press EXIT.

Let me know what happens

Hallo,
Same error exactly here but no unit responce, possible hardware malfunction after a serious power failure. Unit is out of order completelly, without the possibility of resenting. Is there a possible explanation? What do I have to check at first (inside electronics / power circuit), to find out if there is a chance for an expert to fix it? any ideas welcomed, thanks.
