Roland D-110? Can it be done?

Roland D-110? Can it be done?

2013-05-24 by jbow8713

Hi!

I just received my BCR2000 in the mail just today!

I have two rack synths that I'm trying to work with: the Roland D-110, and the Yamaha TX81Z.

I guess I'm having trouble installing presets, when using the Behringer B-Control Series Editor.

I'm trying to install a BCR preset that apparently works with the Roland D-110(http://lesitedeburnie.free.fr/bcrpresets-en.html).

I've read the manual about setting it into the right mode, and I think I have a connection--but when I try to.. the button for saving onto the device isn't active.

I've checked the MIDI ports on the unit; things look a-OK.

Using the software, I've managed to export a .syx file, and when I use MIDI-OX to send it to the BCR, MIDI-OX successfully sends all the data to the BCR, but the BCR doesn't really seem affected by the .syx transmission.

I'll look into it deeper on my own--but do any of you wizards know how I can break through to the next level?

-- Thanks for your time,

x

As ever, MIDI OX is your friend.

Get used to first watching what the synths emit.
Then see what the BCR emit's

Then, possibly with MIDI Yoke, marry the two together ...
Then take Midiox out of the system when you are sure the two sides will talk to eachother.

As per the Yamaha ... have you found this page

http://the-all.org/tx81z/

And specifically, Alan Probandt's fun page http://the-all.org/tx81z/twopot/index.html.

He used to be active on many of the forums I am in ... awesome at electronics for music.

Regards

Move to quarantaine
