her's the deal : i'm trying to post a long message on this kind of "forum". when i press send it says thare is a fucking error, i repeat this a lot of thimes. and THE ONLY MOMENT i random smash my keyboard to try, it works. well, i'm gonna ask you why in the world would someone use Yahoo groups?? seriously it's fucked up it looks like you are on the 1900's internet. there are a tons of ways to exchange, create forums and stuff, but this, this is not cool. seriosly.

Re: ty

I couldn't agree more. Yahoo is a terrible platform to host a global BCR/CF2000 group. There are way more attractive, efficient and user friendly alternatives.

Personnaly I feel the group would also become more alive if someone with the skills and initiative would migrate this group to a new more generic forum.

Allowing for Yahoo's limited forum and their recent problems, the help offered here is free.
Expert people from around the world volunteer their limited time to provide solutions to your problems.

One of the members of this group tried to set up a Wiki for all this information and had only a couple of contributors and one of them was me. What happened to all the others???

For my limited spare time I would rather try to offer specific help for the BCR/BCF.

If you are unhappy with this then feel free to pay for a domain name and server each year and set up a Yabba or phpBB forum.

You can even post here to let us all know.

To reduce frustration with the editor perhaps you should write your message in an external editor (eg PSPad) and paste it into a new message/reply.
If it screws up you haven't lost a thing.

Personally I use CTRL-A then CTRL-C before I send.
If it fails I paste it all back again.

Re: ty

Royce,

I'm not saying I don't appreciate the fact there is a group but I'm simply suggesting there are many more options nowadays which are free, more userfriendly and offer many extra functionalities like posting pictures, extensive search fucntions and stuff. I feel this group can come much more alive -as there is such a big (and younger) userbase of BCR/BCF users that I see lurking around on other generic music sites which lack the profound knowledge that I see displayed in this group.

Some free alternatives are: Google Groups, OnlineGroups.net, Groupsite.com, Groupspaces.com or even FriendFeed.com.

Now I have no knowledge how one would migrate the Yahoo database but I do feel that as this group is more than a decade old (and based on technology that's equally old) it's losing appeal to some and I am worried all this wonderfull knowledge will go to a waste somehere near in the future. Personally (and I work in ICT) I know no one who uses Yahoo. Same goes for the musicians I know.

So I'm not attacking anyone and I am only fairly new to this group but I do second the idea (hopefully with sound argumentation) that a migration in the future would be wise choice.

there are a lot of alternatives, a forum would be the best in my opinion, it's the most logical way to exchange. i'm sorry to have posted this topic, and when i try to delete it it simply says the group "bc2000" is not available. damn yahoo, get your shit together

i forgot to say i would be happy to create one if the administrator of this group would want to move but have no time.

one last thing, i came here in first place because i had a problem, and i simply can't find my other topic with the actual problem...

There's plenty of people in other parts of the world using Yahoo. Me, I know no one that uses Hyves or pays with iDeal.

Re: ty

That's just lame.

The point is the BCR/BCF are tools for musicians. As a musician I am fairly involved with musicians from all over the world and as an IT project manager I deal with plenty IT-ers globally on a day to day basis and none of them use Yahoo as it is considered prehistoric.

Sure I know some that work with floppy disks but it's a dying breed and the point of my argumentation was that if this group doesn't adapt I fear it will slowly vanish.

Installing multiple BCF's in CUbase

2013-08-10 by John Edwards

Hi all,

I'm trying to get three BCFs working alongside one another in Cubase 7
on my Mac (controlling Channel 1-8, channel 9-16 and channel 17-24).

Tried it with midi but that didn't work very well, anybody have any
ideas how I could do this using USB? Each BCF would receive its own USB
port on my host computer...

Suggestion welcome :)

Kind regards, John

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
