Feedback for buttons & changing LED rings (Reason 7)
2014-08-06 by Benjamin Hollerung
Hi folks!
I think I'm almos done with my setup of 4 BCR/BCF devices to control both the Rack and the main Mixer in Propellerheads' Reason 7.
This has gone so far that I not only made my custom .remotemaps (actually I'm still at it), but wrote my own codecs to combine my 4 controllers into two - one for each purpose. And additionally, to prevent myself from getting into trouble with or messing up CC numbers and stuff, I finally managed to create a dedicated preset for each device.
There's only one - no, two - problem(s) left, that I cannot get around, yet:

There's only one - no, two - problem(s) left, that I cannot get around, yet:
1. Somehow I can't figure out how to program the (LED) buttons, so they always show the correct value (on/off) even when pressed to send a signal to the DAW. That is, when the control surface is updated (e.g. when I switch devices in the Rack), all buttons light up or go out, according to current settings. BUT as soon as I press one, the LED will go out and/or only show a brief flash when the button is pressed and then stay dark.
Any ideas?

2. I don't have the slightest clue, how to change the (upper) LED rings from their default mode. At the moment, this woud be 1-2dot/off, for it
is the most precise display of values. With the factory presets of the BC's it was possible to change the display just by inserting the according expression into the "Mode" column of the .remotemap file. But with my current setup this just won't work.
Maybe, somone else has encountered a similar problem and knows where I'll have to add what code to make the magic happen!?
Thanks in advance
Ben

PS: If anyone is interested, I'll provide the whole batch of files for this project, as soon as it is finished to my satisfaction.
