control BCR by pedal

Sadly (and inexplicably) I see the BCR doesn't have a jack in for continuous controller data - what's the easiest way of implementing this? I don't want the expense of a dedicated midi pedal, but cannot think of any way to interface with a plain expression pedal.

All hints appreciated!

The BCR only uses switch type devices.
Although the encoders seem to be like volume knobs they are just a sets of switches.
So the BCR doesn't need to have an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) to read all of its inputs.

The BCF, on the other hand, has analog faders to read so it needs a ADC.
As it has an ADC, the designers allow the pedal to be analog.

Perhaps if you explain what you are trying to do, there might be a way to do it.

Sorry, I'm a looping guitarist and there are certain features of my
sound that I like to have under foot control, such as loop feedback
and echo level. The are currently mapped to encoders, but I have stop
playing to adjust them.

I've been using a tiny rolls midi pedal, btui I may need to employ my
FCB1010, which has been in hiberation due to it's size and the tiny
stages I get to play...

I didn't realise about the lack of ADC - really interesting!

You can increment by a fixed value (it will loop back to the start value) with each press ofthe foot switch, but that would only be of limited value.

I guess it is either a BCF and a pedal or the FCB1010.

I hope you have ossandust's free ROM "UnO" in in your FCB1010.
It is a GREAT improvement on Behringer's factory version.
Pop over here to have a look if you don't have it.

I do, a wonderful bit of kit ;)
