BCF 2000 - Editor not reading Controller - Cudase emulation

2007-11-01 by felix19552003

I have been trying to set up the BCF 2000 and have downloaded all the
relevant files - I think. Two problems

1- The Behringer Editor read the BCF ok. Then I tried see how to
emulate the Cubase presets. I followed the instructions and held down
the second button on power up. Now I have the display showing 'no05.'
When try rescan, it doesn't find the BCF. It does find the Cubase
preset on the 'Computer side of the editor. I have tried a reset using
the process suggested in earlier posts but nothing happens.

2- I don't know whether this is relevant or another problem. When the
Editor was reading the BCF (ie before I put it into emulation mode)I
tried to save the Cubase preset into the BCF from my laptop but
immediately I got a message 'time out.'When i retried, it just hung up.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

David

It sounds to me like your BCF may have been updated to v1.10.
Unfortunately the editor only works with v1.07. Behringer uses the
euphemism, "Optimally matched to B-CONTROL EDIT software" to describe
v1.07. See:

lang=eng

Actually, the editor works fine *by itself*. Edit your patches in the
editor, and save them to disk; then load them to the BCF with a
utility like MIDIOx or Sysex!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
