I listened to your MP3s and heard a little blip on each clock, even
though the input did not change. Something is wrong with your ASR. I
just patched this up myself and I hear no blips or wiggles at all. The
output voltage and corresponding VCO pitch remain steady as long as the
input does not change. You may have a short on the board or some other
circuit problem. I don't think this would be caused by parts values. I

I used 100 nf mixed film caps, Mouser 505-MKP20.1/250/5 (Wima) for Cx,
and added a 100 ohm resistor from pin 14 of the TL074 to pin 3 of the
first 4052, as mentioned in Ken's notes.
