Bob, I think this "might" be the part number you are looking for.

John Blacet uses two different types of these pots. He uses the 50K
with plastic bushings (no threads) and the 50K with metal bushings
(have threads). Obviously, you need the ones with threads for
separate panel mounting. Both of these are thru hole parts, not
surface mount. If you are a Blacet customer and tell him you want to
match pots for some DIY work, I expect he will tell you which part
number.

relates to the particular features of that pot.

Since you are asking for tips, get some heat shrink just large enough
to cover the wire you solder to the pot pin and prepared the wires to
the normal thru-hole pins covered in this fashion.
