what's not cutting it on the efm board? i know there are quite a few
mods (on early versions?), which is why mine is still not done...
the paia system is good, and great to start with. building something
diy that's equivalent to that would be quite the feat, even if you
make your own circuit boards. if you don't, i'd try paia and of
course ken has a full complement of modules to build a (not-so-
tradional) synth from, and there are all the others (oakley, blacet,
asm-1, etc. etc.).
