seeking advice pedal board mini keyboard cgs10

2004-02-18 by Mike K

i have some questions about the cgs10. i am looking
for a non midi diy c.v. keyboard but i need it to be
stable. i built one from ele4music but its not cutting
it. if anyone has built this and can give me some
feedback on it it would be greatly
appreciated....also, i have built the paia 9710 and
cannot decide if i should finish the 9700 series to
use as a platform to build from or if i should do
everything diy...any info or advice would be greatly
appreciated.

thanks

what's not cutting it on the efm board? i know there are quite a few
mods (on early versions?), which is why mine is still not done...

the paia system is good, and great to start with. building something
diy that's equivalent to that would be quite the feat, even if you
make your own circuit boards. if you don't, i'd try paia and of
course ken has a full complement of modules to build a (not-so-
tradional) synth from, and there are all the others (oakley, blacet,
asm-1, etc. etc.).

good luck,
scott

yeah i am familiar with all manufacturers of modular synths and
equipment, i allready started the 9700 from paia and it works
wonderfully, i cannot however get the kbd2e or the vco3d from
ele4music to work properly...this is not a burn on ele4music it
might just be error on my part. i guess im just asking about the
stability and cleanliness of design of cgs modules when compared to
something like paia and ele4music. i am definitely interested in
building an unconventional modular.
