Cgs synth

Hi All.

Anyone know of a cheap source for the 74C922 used in the
CGS10 mini pedal board? The ones I've found here in the UK so
far, are about US11$ each or more.

Alternatively, anyone got any ideas what they might be used in,
for salvage purposes? all I can think of is maybe entryphone
panels or something similar. It would be good to be able to
recycle them from old electronic junk. (yeh, OK ,I'm a
cheapskate.......... :-)

(PS. I'm also looking for a cheaper alternative IC for a
home-brew custom module, that will scan 8 or so momentary
switches and give a latched 3-bit parallel output based on the
most recent switch activated. )
