19" 5U Multiple module Gate and Drum panels

19" 5U Multiple module Gate and Drum panels

2008-01-06 by krimotm

Hello group,

to save panel costs I made a standard 19" 5U panel layout for
multiple modules. I'm using cheap small knobs that resemble standard
MOTM knobs very much that are 20mm at the base and 16 mm at the top
giving sufficient finger space.

I've just uploaded two examples I'm about to order ("19" 5U panels"
folder):

Gate panel:
-CGS gate sequencer + CV adapter
-Multiple
-CGS burst generator
-CGS pulse divider & logic
-CGS slope detector
-CGS mixer

Drum panel:
-2X CGS Cynare
-CGS Chime
-2X CGS Drum
-CGS Digital noise
-Oakley VC-ADSR
-2X CGS Tube VCA
-CGS Mixer

15+ modules including a gate sequencer for < 300 Euro's including
shipping!

The legending around the switches and spacing for the gate sequencer
switch boards isn't properly layed out yet.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Cheers!

Krimo

Hi there,

Frontpanel express from:
http://www.frontplatten-designer.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=134&Itemid=241&lang=en

You can upload your designs and they make them for you. This is in germany
if you're closer to the US there's one there to. Mind you need to adjust the
holes to the components you're using.

very nice, i'm working on a similar concept, only 4u and silver.

good selection/combination of modules, as well, i think they'll be
very useful musically. you might consider putting in a lfo (single,
or minimal-feature dual) instead of the mult on th gate panel?
you're gonna want a clock...
