CGS 09 question

CGS 09 question

2012-01-24 by Stephen Richards

Hi Ken and all

I am about to finish CGS09 VC Divider.

Can you please tell me what goes in the two blank spaces above and below the BEAD closest to the 0.156 4 pin connector.

From the picture it looks like ceramic caps , are they just 100n ceramic decoupling caps ?

decoupling caps ?

Yes, just plain old decouplers. They are not essential.

Bite the bullet. You could use leaded parts between the IC pins, or between
the pads if you want, but seriously, soldering on 1206 parts is easy.

Tin one pad. Pop the 1206 on, and heat the tinning while holding the 1206
down. I use my fingernail to do that. Solder other side. Resolder first
side. Done.
