strings and things

2000-02-08 by Reed Sutter

plank,
thank you for assuring me that there is life out there. i haven't
tried the performer with a phaser yet, but i do like that choir-type
string setting. friday night i played a show and realized just how
powerful synths can be when given proper amplification. we used the
crumar with a distortion pedal about half the night, and also used my
yamaha cs20m as a lead synth.. that was the first time we had the lead
synth live, so the crumar could be used to fill in the bottom on most
songs instead of having to double as a lead synth. it was great. i would
really like to get my hands on a ds-1 or ds-2 also. if you have any idea
where i might find something like that, please let me know. what synths
do you currently own?

Reed,
For more info on Crumar gear goto www.synthzone.com ,when loading the main
page give it a minute or two to load the whole page so that you can see all
the listings.
They have a section on just Crumar, with links from this page to other
sites.
I have just trimmed down my keyboard set up to just the list below.....
Roland JV-90ex (with jv-1 and vintage synth board fitted)
Roland A-70ex ( with RD-1 piano board fitted)
Roland S-50
Korg O5R/W
EMU Vintage Keys Plus
SCI PRO-ONE
Crumar T-2
BACK to the Performer, I remembered an other Choir type sound,
Set the Strings as before and add the Brass, set EG to Bass 1/4 down. Mid
full up.Treb full down.
Add ATTACK to taste.
