Do I Need a Different Printer??

2006-09-12 by pspuser5

Hello All,

I am a newbie, and I purchased the PFP in the hopes that it would
correct the color problems with my printer. I have an HP Photosmart
7350. I have calibrated my monitor with the Huey. I went into the
properties for the printer and chose "Manual" for the color
management and then just removed all choices for a profile, because
that was the only way I could see to "turn off" color management in
this printer.

Now, I have printed out both the 150 and 225 targets, and I am
continuing to get the same poor results. I am using Kodak Ultima
Satin paper (set to HP Premium Plus Photo, Glossy) in the driver, as
instructed by Kodak. I think I am doing everything right, and then
my test print turns out with a grayish/reddish hue, and just a
general washed out appearance with highlights blown way out.

I love my HP printer. Is it time to part with it and go with
something a tad more professional?
Thanks!! Vicki
