That's what I am missing. After some thinking.... Maybe you are stuck on this first "White Luminance" window expecting to adjust the brightness with the Spyder? It's not here where you use the Spyder this window is telling you to adjust the monitor to full brightness via the monitor's controls. If so skip this window and go on to the profiling process where the software will ask you to attach the Spyder to the monitor. In mid test another "White Luminance" window will open and it's here where you adjust the brightness/backlight of the monitor while measuring with the Spyder.
