Hi, I went through a similar experience with a slight magenta cast on B&W with Epson R1800; the earlier version of the R1900. The problem is the R1800 has only one black ink and no gray ink so the grays must be produced by a combination of the colors. A very difficult task. See my thread starting with message 3112 for how I iterated the profile process to get pretty close. You will have to use the advanced profile process. I'm sure CD will chime in shortly.
