Datacolor User to User Support Group.

I have the 3 sensor set up to monitor ambient light.

It fell off where it sat last night, maybe 6 inches  and the two parts of the base that create a slot for the sensor are mow apart.

Looking at it, I can't see how it ever could have fit together as follows.

The base has the rounded, heavy bottom, from which protrudes, gravestone style a vertical plastic piece with a curved slot.

The companion piece now loose, is curved concave at the bottom the fit the base and has a larger curved slot. The idea is the loose piece fastens to the base gravestone piece creating a gap for the sensor to slide into. 

This appears to be impossible as one piece has large holes and the other small holes and holes to holes won't connect of course. Are there small pins wide at one end and small at the other that in this small 6" drop not only have gotten loose but have actually vanished?

I could glue the loose piece to the base I suppose but what gets me is that is was OK prior to the great plunge and upon examination I can't see how it ever worked at all before , making me believe in magic.
