Re: SpyderPRO 2.2 Release Date

2006-04-08 by Johnny Eades

I went to www.colorvision.com just a short while ago and downloaded
SpyderPro2.2 setup and installed it. So it must be there now!!!

After downloading it, I connected the SpyderPro2 to my laptop and
rested the device on the screen and started the calibration process.
It being a laptop I realized the settings would be handled in a
different manner than my desktop with the CRT monitor. The laptop
default is 6500 and Gamma 2.2. There are no settings to adjust for the
brightness other than backlight so I made none and let the software do
its thing and then saved the resultimg profile for the laptop. I
rebooted and got a screen message that there was no monitor profile
other than the default laptop setting from the factory. I searched and
found the profiles for the monitor and I found the profile Spyder
created, but I could not set the laptop to use it. I really would like
to calibrate the laptop but am now at a loss. Can anyone give me some
pointers on how to get the system to recognize the Spyder profile??
