Mr. Tobie, On another forum the question of making profiles for the Canon printers arose. One member with an ipF 9000 stating he was unable to profile some non Canon papers due to over inking, etc. You were around these machines at the kina. What do you know about this issue? Paul

C.D. Haven't gotten the 8000 yet but starting to get my ducks in a row when it comes to profiling. I will be using Hahnemeuhle Photo Rag, William Turner and Breathing Color Chromata canvas on the new Canon. Do you recommend profiling these paper types with the Canon driver or the Photoshop export module. I have heard that there are much better results to be had from the 16bit export module. Is that your experience? Lastly I am assuming that the export module cannot be used with Qimage like the Canon driver... What can you tell me on these issues? -Jonathan > I have not had excess ink in raw (unprofiled) prints for profiling targets on > the iPF printers. Sounds like I should standardize my workflow on the driver so I can print from either Pshop or Qimage. The driver is crazy with all the paper settings and options all over the place. The epson driver makes so much more sense to me... -Jonathan --- In colorvision_group@yahoogroups.com, CDTobie@... wrote: > > > In a message dated 12/14/06 1:36:17 AM, jpgentry@... writes: > > > > > I will be using Hahnemeuhle Photo Rag, William Turner and Breathing > > Color Chromata canvas on the new Canon.
