I assume you are talking about a "ruler guide" to help in reading the
patches  similar to the Pulse guide?

They did consider one while the system was under development, but
decided that it wasn't necessary. 

Is there a particular reason you feel you need to use the 729 patches?
I've used both the 225 & the 729, and feel I get better results with
the 225 in less than 10 minutes. 

Then adding the B&W added patch scale, I get excellent B&W prints and
color prints from the same profile. I've also done some variants of
the B&W for nice B&W toning results.
