Re: [colorvision_group] Spyder2Express software

Re: [colorvision_group] Spyder2Express software

Here's a table to cover the versions and changes, for anyone who's actually still reading this thread:

For all Spyder2 applications (Spyder2, Spdyer2PRO, Spyder2express)
2.2 (Mac and Win) — this is the version currently being sold in the retail package on the CD

Spyder2express
2.3 (Mac and Win) — identical to 2.2 except the White Point target for LCD is 6500K instead of Native

All Spyder2 applications
2.3.5 (Win) — identical to 2.2 (2.3express) except includes the 64-bit Spyder driver for Windows XP x64

The only reason to download 2.3.5 is if the user is running XP x64 UNLESS the user has already mistakenly tried to install 2.3.x on a 32-bit system and is having ‘no sensor detected’ issues.

OK. Closing the discussion.

Thanks to David's help I could understand what was wrong and how the
various versions of the software behave. Everything's fixed now.

The confusion is due to wrong informations given by the support -
especially about version 2.3.5 - and to incomplete information given on
their site. I hope they'll fix this.
