All the Epson inkjets are addressed as RGB devices by the Epson drivers. So no problem there. The PrintFIX PLUS software uses premeasured matte and gloss measurement sets to produce default profiles for supported printers, such as the 2200, which you then adjust as necessary for the particular paper you are using; so that seems to be exactly what you are asking for. Its not as accurate as a hardware measurement system of your own, but is a lot more affordable.
