I've just ordered one which should arrive in the next few days... is there anything special to care about when profiling this machine? --- In colorvision_group@yahoogroups.com, CDTobie@... wrote: > > I need anyone who has been building 225 patch PFPRO profiles for gloss or > luster media on the 3800 to contact me off list, so I can get an XML measurement

Not that I can think of; there are a couple of software bugs in the same size Canon printer, but the Epson 3800 seems to do just what I would expect it to, and profile without any special considerations. C. David Tobie Product Technology Manager ColorVision, Inc. CDTobie@... www.colorvision.com

I am starting to profiling my papers for this printer right now. Do you still need the XLM? I remember there was a thread on this group outlining the workflow to be used to incorporate the extended greys into the color profile but can't find it.. Does anyone remember the thread? I creatd a profile using the extended greys, made a test and it seems to work greatly. Now, can this profile be used both for color and b&w? or should I use the readings from the colored patched only to build a new profile for use in color prints? --- In colorvision_group@yahoogroups.com, CDTobie@... wrote: > > > In a message dated 5/9/07 5:11:55 PM, michele@... writes: > > > > I am starting to profiling my papers for this printer right now. Of corse using always the paper type and settings you printed the targets with. Luca
