Spyder2Express Vs. Windows Vista

Spyder2Express Vs. Windows Vista

2008-02-26 by fran4me2

Hi - Trying to figure out what to do with my calibration not working
with Windows Vista. I have a Toshiba Laptop, with Windows Vista.
This is an email I received from Colorvision regarding my problem of
my computer switching back to old color after I calibrate. Has
anyone had to install latest version of Vista, and does it work? How
do I go about finding the latest version? I am not extremely
computer savvy! I would appreciate any and all input!

Thanks so much!

here is their email:

Mia,

Please ensure you have downloaded the latest version of Vista, this
is a known Microsoft issue mostly occurring with the Home version but
is does not exclude the Professional version.

This issue is not caused by the ColorVision application. It is an
issue with the Intel graphics driver.

This association issue is affecting all color management companies
within this arena, not only ColorVision. Our engineers are working
with Microsoft to find a solution.

Should you still have issues after install the latest Vista version?

A ColorVision user has found a workaround.

On startup, the colorvisionstartup.exe starts, and the default
profile
is being loaded.

One sees a color shift.

However, around a minute later, the color shifts back.

I'm using "Startup Delayer" now, free software by;

I moved the Colorvision program at the last position in the startup
list,

Everything is working fine now.(Henning, 2007. ColorVision User)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
