calibrating a second monitor hooked to a laptop

calibrating a second monitor hooked to a laptop

I need to know what product to purchase, if any, in the Spyder line
which will solve the folloing problem.

Currently I have Spyder 2 Suite and have been happy with it. I have a
Dell Precision 4300 laptop and recently purchased a Dell stand alone
24 inch monitor for editing pictures. The monitor works fine with the
laptop. The laptop is runing Vista.

I loaded the Spyder 2 Suite and calibrated my laptop montor, so far,
so good. Then I wanted to calibrate the 24 inch monitor. My laptop
does not have 2 video cards and I realize after reading on many
discussion boards, that I cannot have 2 profiles. I can move icons,
etc to the 24 inch by dragging it across but even when I did this
with the Spyder software, it will only come up and run on the laptop.
I tried making the 24 inch the Main monitor, this didn't work either.

I just want the 24 inch to be calibrated, I don't really care if the
laptop is or isnt. I tried a variety of things to get the software to
work only on the 24 inch monitor and could not.

Is there a solution with Spyder in another version?
