Spyder 3 - colorimeter??

Spyder 3 - colorimeter??

2008-09-28 by bill_hansen20012001

As you can see from the message below this one, I'm finally upgrading
from Spyder 2 to Spyder 3. In Spyder 2 there's a nice feature
called "colorimeter" in the Tools section. That was very helpful in
standardizing the brightness of my LCD monitor. I'm sure the Spyder 3
has a similar feature, but I haven't been able to find it. Where is it
located?

The replacement for Spyder2Pro is Spyder3Elite; both have the
coloimeter feature you describe. However, the replacement for the
midline Spyder2 product is now called Spyder3Pro. This causes some
confusion, but is really the fault of Pantone, who started this
degradation of the meaning of Pro when they named a midline product
HueyPro.

So it sounds like you have the midline product, and are looking for
highend features in it. Sorry for the confusion. There is an upgrade
available if you own S3Pro and actually need Elite.

CD,

Can you let me have details of the upgrade? I've got an S3Pro, and am thinking about upgrading for the greater flexibility.

Thanks

Geoff

You would need to contact our Support staff at our website, and
request the upgrade info. They can let you know what it costs and how
it works in whatever country you live in. I don't have that info, as
sales are not my area...
