Windows Color Panel

Windows Color Panel

Can anyone put some light on this

I have just installed the Windows color control applet.

How do you know which monitor is which, where both monitors are the
same.

Also how do I know if my new card will support two profiles?

Hi,
Click tab Devices/displays and you should see both monitors and in a
box below the profile assigned when either is highlighted.

Yes,but how do yuou know which monitor is monitor number 1 and which
is monitor nmber 2 Both of mine have the same name.

I have assumed that the top one is monitor 1 and assigned profile No1
to it etc.

Hi,
Try labeling monitor profiles differently so that you know which
monitor is loaded with what profile. Also on my software for the
vidio card there is a screen that shows #1 and #2 monitors allowing
me to position them so they are essentially seamless in respect with
use of the mouse, etc.

Paul

I have named the profiles diferently but in the device list both my
monitors have the same name so I dont know which monitor is number
one. Is it the top one or the seconed one?
I dont know if monitor number one has been assigned profile number
one or profile number two?

Hi,
Two ways to solve this perhaps. One, while the Windows Color
Panel/Devices is open deactivate a profile and see which screen
changes tone. Two, while in the software for the video card move
monitor 2 to the other side of monitor one and see if the mouse moves
correctly or blocks at the edge of monitor one. Once you make this
determination, you can tell monitor one from two by the name of the
assigned profile. A third way, and a bit more complex is to delete
one of the profiles, reboot and see which monitor is profiled and
then reprofile the other monitor with a discrete name to the profile
and now you know 1 vs 2.
