I recently installed Windows 7 and am profiling my 2400. When I print the high quality target plus gray there's no paper set up for the printer. I want to set up the type of paper and quality of print (no ICC management of course) but all I get is the basic page set up for portrait or landscape and when I print it's at a high speed. How can I have more control on the paper set up? Thanks, Tom Husband

You're "at" the page setup screen, but you need to select paper type, output quality, and color management in a different place: in the printer preferences/properties. (This has nothing to do with us; what you're seeing is the standard Windows series of dialogs for printer configuration; we don't have any control over how all of that works). Look for the button that gets you into printer prefs/properties and you'll see the things you need to click on there. David Miller Senior Software Developer, Digital Color Solutions Datacolor

Hi Tom:
You're looking in the wrong place for those settings. You're "at" the
page setup
screen, but you need to select paper type, output quality, and color
management
in a different place: in the printer preferences/properties.
(This has nothing to do with us; what you're seeing is the standard
Windows
series of dialogs for printer configuration; we don't have any control
over
how all of that works).
Look for the button that gets you into printer prefs/properties and
you'll see
the things you need to click on there.

Like I said: we don't have any control over the printer setup and interface from inside Spyder3Print; we just call a system level function which puts up the dialog and gives you all the choices. You should be getting a dialog AFTER the one the comes up, which asks you about page setup properties, which gives you a list of printers installed on your system; and then when you select a printer, there should be a button that gets you into where you need to make those settings changes. There's going to be no difference between how all of this works when you're printing from inside of Spyder3Print, vs. what happens when you print from any other WIndows application. from
any other WIndows application.
