Yes.
- For Macs: the Universal Binary installer and application are fully
Snow Leopard compatible. The software runs natively on all PPC and
Intel processor Macs with OSX 10.4 and later.
- For PCs: Improved compatibility with Vista and Windows 7.
- Simplified/revised/streamlined workflow and user interface.
- Enhanced printing mechanism for targets - you can print all
pages of multi-page targets with one click of the Print button, or
just print the currently visible page in the UI.
- New targets, including "EZ" Targets with larger patches and automatic
measurement checking. Older targets from previous versions are now
grouped into a category called "Classic" targets.
- Faster profile building.
- Strip reading capability for faster measurements, *when used with the
new "SR" spectro, you CANNOT strip read with the original DC1005.
- WIth the original DC1005, measuring time is reduced from previous
versions (the short time between the "start" and "stop" measuring
sounds) and so, measuring speed and responsiveness are improved.
- Many other enhancements and changes.
- Note: Extended Grays as standalone measurements files are no longer
supported during the profile building process, and are no longer
provided in the software as a separate, 1 page printable target.
Extended Grays are now provided as an extra page ("Classic" targets)
or an extra two pages ("EZ" targets). You will always measure ALL
pages that will be used to build a profile into a single measurement
file for profile building from now on (for example, a 4 page target
in which the first 3 pages are 729 colors and the last page is
Extended Grays). If you have older "stand-alone" Extended Grays
measurement files from previous versions, you can combine them with
a 225 or 729 patch measurement file by using the Tools:Merge command.
