Hi, C. David Tobie, sometime back you wrote (on the digital fine art group) that the Zurich office had an iMac 27 for testing. Have they reported on its capabilities for color managed image editing? Mark Godfrey Ojai, CA - - -

It has a higher quality screen type that previous iMacs; and it offers
proper dimming. So yes, we are recommending it as a basic image
editing platform. (with a Spyder, of course... ;-))

>>Is there a paper from the Zurich office about their iMac27 testing? If you have a link to the paper, I would like to see it. I'm specifically interested how efficient the iMac is in opening, editing, and saving 16 bit files in the 250Mb size range. Sorry, we don't write reviews of displays and computers, just use them in our development work; in this case in developing Sypder3Elite v4.0. Besides, it would be in German. ;-) C. D. What I do hear, though, is that the new iMac is actually faster than the Mac Pro tower I own, and great for high bit file processing. C. D. Tobie Global Product Technology Mngr. I was wondering what the color space is like on the iMac 27. A source for in-depth monitor reviews is http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/reviews.html (go to buyers guide) -- unfortunately they do not test Apple products. Mark - - -
